I really enjoyed News of the World also...a great short read!

"Train Dreams" by Dennis Johnson
"Julius Winsome" by Gerard Donovan
"Ethan Frome" by Willa Cather
"So Long See you Tomorrow" by William Maxwell
I have to admit American authors are the masters of the novella world !

Allegory....Orwell's Animal Farm. Read long ago in high school and listened to again this year.

Of Mice and Men and The Red Pony both by Steinbeck.

Human Acts is one of my favorite books I read this year too! It is a hard read but so worth it.

My suggestions: The Castles of Athlin and Dunbaynea by Ann Radcliffe and Girls' Poker Night by Jill A. Davis

Goodluck to everyone still catching up, there are definitely a lot of good reads to choose from besides these- anywho happy reading!

You can read it from anywhere. Agatha Christie books are stand alones. But if you are an avid thriller fan, once you start her books, you will get addicted to her books. :)
