Bjorn Klein grew up in the disturbingly idyllic woods of the former Kingdom of Bavaria, where childhood was so outrageously normal it practically demanded rebellion. Books, music, writing, and an overactive imagination became early accomplices. A habit of asking inconvenient questions followed. Reality has been negotiable ever since.

He studied music, literature, and education in Cologne, which mostly taught him that institutions are strange creatures and should never be left unsupervised.
