Beverly Van Pelt is a poet and artist, actor and director, past Creative Director of the Big Sur Fashion Show as well as The Gothic Gourmet online personality. A resident of Seaside, California, her poetry and short-form writing often taking on the topics of love and sleeplessness. Beverly is a post-punk wife and mother, and endures four very dramatic cats.

“DEEPLY SLEEPLESS: 75 Collected Poems About Love, Death, & Everything” is her first published book, and she is currently working on a Vol. 2 as well as organizing collections of Drinking poetry, poems with allusions to Shakespeare, and poems with allusions to Music.

Anthem in the Fog

Guitarist Patrick Golden (The Piscean Creed, Bog Iron, Vulture King) performed the US National Anthem at Cardinale Stadium in Seaside, CA ahead of the Monterey Bay Football Club match on October 25, 2025. The evening was marked heavy fog which served to enhance the sound quality by reducing the echo that normally affects performances in the venue.
