Alan Wheeler is an author, musician, and lifelong storyteller based in Oregon. Legally blind since birth and fully blind since his mid-20s, Alan draws from a well of rich life experiences to create fiction that blends insight, imagination, and emotional depth.

His debut novella, The Fool’s Task, reimagines the role of Shakespeare’s Fool as an angelic guide on a hidden mission. His follow-up, Publishing for Masochists, offers a humorous behind-the-scenes look at the chaos and triumphs of self-publishing.

When not writing, Alan plays bass guitar, reflects on philosophy and music, and occasionally debates with technology over who’s really in charge. He believes stories are meant to outlive us — and hopes his will.

Great news!

My newest book, “The Europa Accord” is now available in two formats; Kindle e-book and paperback at amazon! It took some real wrangling to get done, but here it is: https://a.co/d/8evcFTD

A very well written suspense novel, leaving you full of questions to the very end. Speaking of the end, watch out for the surprise twist at the very end. It’s a bit of a mind blower. Like many good suspense or mystery novels, expectations are built o ...more
