Geraniums in Bloom

ivy_geranium_flickr_lilakbGrowing up as I did in northeast Ohio, the mild winter months in Charleston continue to astonish. Temperatures can dip into the thirties for several hours or overnight only to rebound quickly by morning. Even now, the flowerbox outside my office window shouts in a riot of pink blossoms. The geraniums planted there will continue to throw vivid splashes of pink throughout the year.

This example of flowers blooming in a month associated with snow provides an example of renewal. And why shouldn’t...
