YA Series Insiders: Is there a particular book that started you on your love of reading or inspired you to become a writer? What was it about that book that made you fall in love?

Sara: The first series that I truly fell in love with was the Felicity: The American Girl series. The main thing that hooked me was the world – the series made Colonial America such a rich, interesting place, and it was what spurred my first few “novels” as a child (all set in Colonial America, of course).
