The Fox Inheritance - arcs!

I received the ARCS for The Fox Inheritance last night!  Only two, but they are just beautiful!  I love how the cover is similar to the paperback of Adoration, but still has a different tone and feel to it.

And his eye is just gorgeous.  Golden brown with flecks of green.  This designer really paid attention to detail!

Back in January my publisher gave some bound manuscripts to a few attendees at ALA midwinter, so they got a peek at the story even before arcs came out.  One of those who received a bound manuscript was  [info] professornana  .  I was gone last week on a writing/skiing retreat when she posted this on her blog.  Needless to say, it left me smiling.  A lot.

Like every author, I'm on pins and needles waiting for first reactions--and this was the very first one from someone not related to me.  I especially loved that she said it had heart.  I sure hope so.  I feel like I leave a piece of me in every book I write. So yes, dancing a happy dance at her blog post!

When and if I get more ARCS I will surely be giving some away.  Or perhaps my publisher will be doing that through their blog .  As soon as I know I will post the info.

Also, besides my regular Facebook page, I've started a  Facebook Fan page that will have more exclusively book news--including arc giveaways and such. So for those of you who want to skip the personal trivia and stick to the book news, I hope you will check out that page and click the "like" tab at the top.

Back to writing . . .

Megan Oh my gosh, Mary, those look amazing!!!!! Now you're making me even more impatient!!! Just kidding, you had nothing to do with it. I'm an impatient person.
Okay, I keep forgetting what this new book is about. I know it left off at the end of Adoration, and that Jenna is the "narrator." But what is it really about?

Mary Pearson I think on goodreads and also at Amazon, there is a little blurb hinting at the story. Locke Jenkins is the narrator of this one--remember him? Jenna's friend trapped in the cube?

Megan Locke?!?! I thought he--whoa. Wait--what? Wow. That's a spin, that's cool. So, is Jenna a side character in this one?

Okay, I'll see if I can find it. I'll let you know if I can't. Thanks, Mary. You're awesome, I love your writing. I have to say that Adoration was the first science fiction that I actually understood. :) Congrats.

Megan Just to let you know, I found out what the book is about, and now I'm even more excited. Well, it wasn't really a whole lot, it just explained that Kara and Locke were given new bodies, and that the only person they remember (who is still alive) is Jenna.

Any other hints? Or do I have to be impatient and find some magical way of speeding up time? =D
