Based upon your personal writing and publishing practices, I am confident that you may have already been aware of most, if not all, of the information provided in the blog post. That said; I am flattered that you feel it is worth saving for future reference.

Thanks Jim for more great advice. I am discussing how to be a publisher with a client but I think I'll stick to editing. How to be paid? Maybe through buying some of my books plus a review. Her idea.

Experienced, skilled editors are in demand, so I believe that your decision to stick with editing and leave publishing to those already established in the field is sound. Publishing is a complex and often thankless business.
Regarding compensation for your editing services, you may want to consider establishing a standard flat rate per page. Whatever you decide, I'm certain that it will be the right choice for your particular situation.
Thank you for loyally following the blog and, once again, posting a comment.
