I'm not that much of a Star Trek fan. I've watched all the movies, but not many of the TV series. I agree that CBS putting a new Star Trek series behind a pay site wall seems dumb. Perhaps the heads of the studio will reconsider allowing the new Star Trek series to be streamed on pay sites such as Hulu Plus, Netflix, and On Demand.

Realistically fans aren't going to flock to give a broadcast network money for their content at this point.
Sorry to be the only one commenting on this thread - I guess there are not that many Trekkies on here.I have been mulling this around for a few days. If CBS does put the new Star Trek series behind an ill-advised pay wall. I foresee not only fans but others (perhaps in protest) instantly pirating the new Star Trek shows and posting them on the various torrent sites.
I am not condoning such piracy, but I certainly understand why and how it happens. Putting something such as a new Star Trek series behind a pay wall seems to encourage the piracy.
