P.S. It is so weird to realize that WE are now the ones giving out the sage paternal and maternal advice to the next generation. I’m pretty sure we’re not ready for this.

I am going to remember that comment for future soccer games. This week, all the parents in our soccer league were admonished in an email from the director and told not to yell directions from the sidelines. It was a quiet game today.

People are well-intentioned, but it's confusing for the kids to get one thing from their parents and another from their coach. I have to try to confine myself to "Way to go" types of calls.
