I promise you

I didn’t write yesterday’s post because I was down or depressed, but to tell you the reality of the situation and that I might be running silent as I regroup and organize. But to be honest, your unexpected outpouring of support has buoyed me up. How could it not?

Thank you.

There was never any danger of me not writing. It is what I do, what I am. My verb, as they say. But your combined words reminded me of how many I have reached. It is an indescribable honor and to have one’s voice heard by so many–a trust that should be held with utmost responsibility–and if anything hurts, it’s that I might lose that.

But the writing . . . that is a constant.

Again, thank you.

Momonique I love your books. your writing. your characters. You did something outside of the hollows. (I wish you weren't punished for that in sales) I really enjoyed sideswiped and The drafter. I hope you can pursue the stories you want to tell and pay the bills. take the hits like Peri and Rachel would. like total hard asses thinking you dont like my fucking awesome book ?! well that's just fine because I know Im killing it right now. you can all go and suck eggs.

Rita Maybe you need to try self-publishing and ebooks? if you have a newsletter that your readers can subscribe to, you could market through that as well.

Terelyn Marks Hope this isn't TMI, but I've got a medical procedure next week and I've been saving The Drafter, so I have something to look forward to!

I can't imagine why it hasn't gotten more marketing! I only knew about it because of this site.

Cheryl Honestly, I wasn't that thrilled with the idea of The Drafter, but then I read Sideswiped and became hooked. I loved it. I want to know if Peri and Silas work things out, so I hope you get to publish book 2.

April I just wanted to let you know that I loved your books. I enjoy your writing style and how your are able to build such an expansive world in your books with characters your readers love and can relate to. I also loved the way you ended the Hollows and I appreciate that you realize it was time to end the series. I have read other series just to have writers reuse the same plot points over and over again because it was past time for the series to end. This is frustrating to readers because every great story deserves a proper ending. I have read Hollows more than once and listen to the audio books as well. If I want to visit the world of the Hollows I will read it again and know that the story will have an ending that I will cherish just as much as the journey it took to get there. I have to admit that I haven't bought the Drafter yet. I am waiting on the mass market release as I do with any book that I read.Truth be told I have only bought the hard cover on two books which was the last two books of the Hollows series because I just couldn't wait! I will definitely pick up the Drafter once it comes out on mass market! Just know the your readers are out there and we love and support everything you do. Hugs

TX CHICK I adore your books. I'm a voracious reader, but rarely revisit series. I have and will revisit The Hollows. I was unaware of Sideswiped or The Drafter until I read your previous post. I have requested both be added to The Dallas Public Library, my main source for books. (With the volume I read, I can't afford to buy books often, although I do own several of The Hollows.) Your publisher's marketing team has definitely let *you* down and let *us* down as well. Your fans deserve better than this. So do you.

Sognatore None market or index of sales can never hid your talent. You were born writer, and you become one of the best writers that we can be read. Remember this, when you control sales.(Sorry for my english)

Renee I too love your books. I even got my wife hooked on them and we rarely like the same books. We did get The Drafter on audible, but have not yet finished it. Normally we would have purchased 2 books, one on Audible (my wife) and one hardback (me), but this time due to a long road trip, we decided just to go the Audible route and listen together. I feel like I should go buy the hardback just to give you one more book sale you deserve.

I truly hope this is not the end of the KH name! Both my wife and I are fans for life.
