This week I was writing the first draft of a new cozy mystery, which uses a bookstore in one of the settings. It's a used or what's also known as a secondhand bookstore. I enjoy visiting used bookstores, which are a vanishing breed. I just learned the last bookstore closed in the small town where I used to live. The recession and popularity of e-books were the reasons given in the newspaper article about the bookstore closing its doors. Anyway, I've been brainstorming some name possibilities for my bookstore. Nothing has grabbed me all that much. I'll keep at it until I hit on something I like. There's a bookstore in downtown D.C. called Politics & Prose, and I think it specializes in non-fiction. There used to be a mystery bookstore in D.C., but it's name escapes me. What are some of the memorable bookstore names you've encountered on your book shopping trips?
