I have been through that fire, and survived. I thought for so long that I couldn't do it without him. He kept telling me I needed him, when in the end, it was he who needed me. He needed me to be the fall guy, to bolster his ego. Then the day came that I tore the mask from him and from me. I saw him for the sociopath that he was. I walked away, never looked back. I am in a great place now. Life is very good now. Your book dredged up a lot of bad memories and feelings but it also helped to strengthen and cauterize the old wounds. I will always be grateful that you wrote that book. And just maybe what does not kill us does make us stronger
