Ah, Pneumonia, how I missed thee... NOT!

I've spent the last week or two wondering why I was having trouble breathing. I just assumed it was because of the dust storms we've been having in the southwest. Then I was getting lightheaded. So I went to the doctor to get a new prescription on my inhaler (asthma from chemical burns on the lungs a few years ago) and my blood oxygen level was 84%. That is kind of low. A lot low.

No wonder I haven't felt particularly creative.

I will get back on track. I will post a teaser/sample from the new Tebrey book.

But not today.

This week in science!

Up first, my kind of handwavium - The science of comic books: http://www.wired.com/2014/11/can-hulk...

Lots of places are reporting about us finally landing a craft on a comet. This page is more fun: http://www.wired.com/2014/11/rosetta-...

This one is amusing. I've often had such thought myself, although I like Dawkins, sometimes he is a little too smug: http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2014/11/de...

Kees Bijker Sorry to hear you have been ill Paul. Hope now things will clear up soon. Lots of people seem to be ill this year, more so than I can remember from previous years.

Love the links and followed Rosetta fiercely, not personally mind, I haven't mastered spaceflight yet, but on digital media. I posted a series of feats on my facebook and had a misguided person complain about the stupidity of spending that much money on useless things, while the national healthcare (UK) hasn't enough money to pay the nurses. 3 seconds googling will tell you it only costed 1 billion dollars while the total war money globally is 17 trillion approximately. You got to love science, but without education it is meaningless.
Still as long as the horse has legs...

Thanks for the update,

Looking forward to Tebrey in the next book.
