Stephanie's November Blog

November 1 , 2014

By Winter's Light is here! Out everywhere in e-book, print (gift hardcover in the US; trade paperback in UK and ANZ) and audio for you to enjoy. Even in these climes, where our thoughts, if not the actual weather (!), are turning to summer, the feast of holiday traditions, the fun of a family gathering that spans the generations, plus romance and adventure - and the seeds of romances to come - still resonates.

I hope you all have a wonderful time revisiting with the Cynsters, and experiencing the atmosphere of their snow-bound Scottish holiday season. As Library Journal puts it: “Scents of pine, cinnamon, and yule log smoke (plus some nostalgia and a dash of magic) waft from the pages of this heart-warmer that adds another chapter to this popular, long-running series.”

To read an interview I did on this book for USA-Today’s Happy Ever After page, click here - http://usat.ly/1wEWDPM

Description and details, and links for pre-orders are on the book page, along with an excerpt, plus an interview on the holiday traditions mentioned int he book (click on the cover to go to the book page). The US mass market paperback edition of BY WINTER’S LIGHT will be released in late October, 2015.

Enjoy!

By Winter's Light (Cynster, #21) by Stephanie Laurens BY WINTER’S LIGHT is the introductory book to the Cynster Next Generation novels. It’s a holiday tale that bridges the generation gap and introduces us to the children of the Bar Cynster couples with the eldest offspring on the cusp of adulthood. The events in this story reveal the emerging strengths of the elder children and sows the seeds of their stories to come.

So…What's Up Next?

Once you’ve indulged with BY WINTER’S LIGHT, you will understand that it’s Lucilla’s story next and also why the title of that story is THE TEMPTING OF THOMAS CARRICK. This is a longer novel that takes place 10 years after the events in BY WINTER’S LIGHT.

The Tempting of Thomas Carrick (Cynster, #22) by Stephanie Laurens The Tempting of Thomas Carrick will be released on February 24, 2015, in print, ebook, and audio editions. Description and pre-order links, along with an excerpt (all of Chapter 1 and 2!) can be found on the book page of my website - www.stephanielaurens.com

And, of course, Marcus’s book will follow - and yes, his and Lucilla’s stories are linked, as you might guess with the stories of twins. A MATCH FOR MARCUS CYNSTER will be released 3 months after Lucilla’s book, on May 26, 2015. Details and pre-order links for A MATCH FOR MARCUS CYNSTER will appear shortly on my site.

In THE TEMPTING OF THOMAS CARRICK and A MATCH FOR MARCUS CYNSTER you’ll see the return of the step-back couple art which used to be a feature of historical romances. With my releases, the step-back art will be included in the e-books as well as the print books - something that hasn’t happened before. I’ve always thought step-back art adds flavor to a romance. For a taste of the step back art, head to my website www.stephanielaurens.com.au

If you want to keep abreast of what’s in the pipeline as well as being notified of my latest releases, joining my Email Newsletter List is the safest bet. It also carries links to exclusive sweepstakes and sneak peek excerpts - for instance, the December Festive Season newsletter will carry an exclusive extra excerpt from THE TEMPTING OF THOMAS CARRICK, news of a giveaway for that book, the cover of A MATCH FOR MARCUS CYNSTER, plus pre-order details. If you haven't yet joined, it's easy. Head to my website and follow the links.

For those who have emailed, thank you for taking the time to drop me a note. I hope you all enjoy reading my works as much as I enjoy writing them.

Susan Can't wait for the Next Generations of Cynsters, but hope that Devil and Honoria are around a really long time also. By Winter's Light is next on my reading list I am sure it will be great!

Thanks for keeping us posted

Peggy Perry I've read the ebook version (no more room for paper books in my too small home!) and loved it. One of my favorite things about all your books is the immersion in the culture - society, language, landscape, transportation, interior decorating; when I read your books I am THERE. I enjoyed seeing the parents come out in the children. The concept of family support and strength is wonderful in your books and echoes my family. I feel right at home with your characters no matter what their social stature. I can hardly wait to see the next one.
