Today’s Used Bookstore Purchases

Today I went to Aunt Bonnie’s, a used bookstore here in Helena, Montana.

I’m visiting my mom this weekend in my hometown, and I thought heading to the store might allow me to replenish some of the library I once had in China.

I was quite surprised how good the sci-fi and fantasy section was, and I got the following books for $11:

Magician Apprentice (The Riftwar Saga, #1) by Raymond E. Feist Magician Master (The Riftwar Saga, #2) by Raymond E. Feist Silverthorn (The Riftwar Saga, #3) by Raymond E. Feist A Darkness at Sethanon (The Riftwar Saga, #4) by Raymond E. Feist Elminster The Making of a Mage (Forgotten Realms Elminster, #1) by Ed Greenwood Rendezvous with Rama (Rama, #1) by Arthur C. Clarke Rama II (Rama, #2) by Arthur C. Clarke The Garden of Rama (Rama, #3) by Arthur C. Clarke The Waste Lands (The Dark Tower, #3) by Stephen King Foundation (Foundation, #1) by Isaac Asimov Red Seas Under Red Skies (Gentleman Bastard, #2) by Scott Lynch

Jennifer (bunnyreads) Great purchases! I've read pretty much everything Raymond E Feist wrote back then. I loved that Riftwar series. :)

Greg Strandberg Thanks, Jennifer. I read those Riftwar books way back in the mid-90s, so I barely remember them.

Foundation is one I've never read, and it's pretty short so I might have to start with that.

Jennifer (bunnyreads) Yeah That's about when I read them too. I've never read Foundation either, I had it but then I discovered the Forgotten Realms books. LOL

Boy, I was tempted to pick up the Canticle series by R.A. Salvatore. They were missing Book 4 or 5 though, so I left them all. They did have almost all the Harpers books, but I never go into those.

Canticle (Forgotten Realms The Cleric Quintet, #1) by R.A. Salvatore The Parched Sea (Forgotten Realms The Harpers, #1) by Troy Denning

Jennifer (bunnyreads) I never read the Harpers. I stuck to mostly Salvatore, Hickman and a few others. Canticle is probably the only one I didn't read. Back then we lived way out in the country and our little town we are near didn't have more than a small shelf of fantasy. I usually had to wait til we were in the city to find anything so i never read any series that I couldn't buy all the books for all at once. I read a lot of romance during those years because they were easy to get a hold of. It's so nice now with amazon and ebooks.
