Just over 8 years ago, I made a right turn instead of a left out of the Home Depot parking lot. That was a turn that would change our lives forever. Rai Beautiful post. Brought a tear to my eye & a lump in my throat. Seamus is a beautiful dog, no question that falling in love with him was a case of 'resistance is futile'. I can also well imagine how much you loved & miss Ferris. I am a kitty-mom to four rescued bundles of joy and support local animal shelters, too. Kudos to you & your family for opening your hearts & your home to these little angels, and for all of the vital support you provide to PHS.

This is a wonderful testament to the powerful bond that exists between co-species. Thank you for your support of adopting animals from shelter and for your compassion and recognizing our animal companions as living beings who are also capable of rich emotional lives, just as us.

Rai What beautiful comments, Colleen. I admire you for how you view & respect our animals friends, I see them that way, too.
