For my British readers

Sorry I've been off the radar lately. I hope to rejoin the 21st century very soon, but for now I am trapped in Outremer. I did want to let my British readers know that Amazon.UK is doing something unusual; for the second time, they have chosen my first mystery, The Queen's Man, as one of their special deals, and it can be purchased as an e-book for only 99 pence. Retreating again to the Kingdom of Jerusalem, but I shall return. http://www.amazon.co.uk/The-Queens-Ma...

Iset I was just thinking of you Sharon. I just discovered a quote by Eugenie de Montijo, last Empress of France. It's a piece of advice she gave to her first biographer but I think it jives with your "Do not defame the dead" quote:

“Never waste time dramatizing life. It’s quite dramatic enough without it.”

Another tenet for a historical fiction author to live by. :)

Sharon I so agree with that, ISIS. Certainly most of the Plantagenets and the Tudors could out-trump fiction any day of the week.

Sandy Without a doubt Sharon!

Rebecca Unfortunately I am having a real problem in tracking down 'The Queens Man.' I have bought the others, in paper back versions but the first seems to be out of print.

I shall be going to the city next week and hope to order TQM from Dymocks...fingers crossed they'll get it for me.
