Are You Having Fun?

What would you call fun?

To me, fun is

the joy you feel when you move your body,

when you see the fruits of your labors,

when you make someone smile,

when you give them a helping hand.

It’s the rush of a new discovery

and the idea I immediately put into action.

It’s the power of the life energy that flows through me

from heaven to earth and back again.

It’s the thrill of watching the sun set

or the waves of the wide ocean.

It’s the serenity of listening to a waterfall

or the singing of the birds on a crisp morning.

The word for fun in Korean is jemi.

Je on its own means existence.

Mi by itself means beauty.

The root of having fun is a beautiful existence.

You are a beautiful existence.
