Look at this beaut! It's a Kindle! A Kindle for the UK! Finally!
I'm so delighted to hear about this development, and needless to say, as an unashamed gadget freak, I've ordered myself one. :)

Hey I'm excited too! I've put off buying an e~reader as I didn't like the idea of buying a kindle from the US then having to pay import/customs charges at least this will open up the field a bit.

I dithered over buying a Kindle from the US, and once or twice nearly took the plunge. I'm so glad I waited though, because being able to buy in the UK and get books from the UK Kindle Store makes it so much easier.Have you ordered one? Hope they arrive early. :)
I'm going to check if the books I want are available in the UK, I don't see why they wouldn't be but you never know then see if I can persuade J to by one.....he could buy it for my birthday now there's a good idea:)
I've just a quick look at the books and holy moly so far so good:) I also checked the price of the basic kindle £109 is very very good...looks more and more tempting.
Ooh, I think a Kindle would make a perfect birthday gift. I was thinking of waiting and having mine as a Christmas present from himself... but I'm far too impatient for that! LOL
Isn't that exciting? I'm so glad Kindle is going international. It really is an awesome device.
I've had my Kindle for about a week now, and I'm very impressed with it. And purchasing books from the UK Kindle Store is dangerously easy! :)
Oooo glad to hear it's all good! Kindle Store, dangerous, I'll bet especially with one~click, are you reembering to list all those e~books on your TBR shelf?
I fear my TBR shelf is perpetually behind. :) Portia, how do you feel about the pricing of the kindle books? A good variety?
