Reading Your Own Book

Now I have four books out, I feel like I've really accomplished something. I flick through the paperback copies, reading snippets, admiring the covers. I feel pretty proud of what I've done. Kiya: Hope of the Pharaoh is coming up on a year since its release, and do you want to know something? I haven't read it since I proofed the galleys. Yeah, I'm serious! I'm thinking I should probably read it sometime, to see what the fuss is all about! LOL.
So I'm wondering; do you read your own books once they are published? Or, since you know the book so well, do you just set it aside?

And, if you missed it, I talked with Kori from Back Porch Writer on Tuesday. Check it out here: http://bit.ly/1eow8lJ

Krystal Wade I haven't read Wilde's Fire in a long time. Well, not since I went over the new proofs recently. I think if I stopped to really READ it, I'd end up wanting to change a bunch of stuff. I've grown as a writer. ;-)

I will be reading Shattered Secrets again, after I finish its sequel. Because I read for continuity.
