Wow. I heard from people who wolves and

Wow. I heard from people who wolves and coyotes and they had a lot to say.

Seems I was right when I said the howls of wolves and coyotes are different but I was wrong when I said they both howl. Coyotes, it seems, yip and yodel. So that’s the difference and is why it’s easy to tell the difference. Thanks, everyone out there who pointed out the difference.

Lilo If we hear something howling, it is coyotes because there are no wolves in the north-east corner of Utah.

And while we love all animals, we are glad that there are no wolves here and are not too happy about the coyotes. This is because we assume that some of our cats that have gone missing over the years have ended up in a coyote's stomach.
