Into the Iron Kingdoms I go!

Hey, novella outline approved! I'm excited to set to work on my first story set in the world of the Iron Kingdoms. The only catch is that I am also excited about a different novella that I'm partway through and must now set aside for a while to write about the Iron Kingdoms.Arguably, this is not the ideal way to work from a purely creative point of view. But contracts and their associated deadlines dictate what gets written when.http://privateerpress.com

Maris Good luck with novella! Didn't know anything about Iron Kingdoms, but after reading some info on their site - looks kinda promising (steam punk + magic = always sounds good!)

PS. off-topic question which came to my mind after reading The Haunted Lands trilogy - are there any plans for further novels with Szass Tam in them? I have not read Brotherhood of the Griffon series (though I do plan on picking them up sometime in the future), but as far as I gather - there is no Szass Tam in them and it's solely Aoth's adventure?

Richard Byers You're right. Aoth is in the five Brotherhood of the Griffon novels published to date, but Szass Tam is not.

My tentative plan is write more about Szass eventually, but of course, it all depends on Wizards of the Coast deciding it wants to publish those books. At the moment, I am not under contract to do any more novels for Wizards, so I hope that readers who have enjoyed my Forgotten Realms stories will see fit to take a chance on my other work.

Maris Thank you for your reply!

Sentence about eventually writing about Szass Tam made my spirits go up, just to be a bit shattered later by saying that currently you have no contract with WotC. But it's alright - I'll endure and keep my fingers crossed for your tentative plan to be more than that!

I'll definitely give a chance to Brotherhood of the Griffon series, as now I know that there will be no Szass Tam in them and so I will be not disappointing because of that, and will try to enjoy other aspects of those books. (and of what I am more than sure is that I will obtain a copy of Year of Rogue Dragons omnibus, as it was a planned even before I laid my hands on The Haunted Lands series)

once again - good luck with new works and I am more than sure (if I'll be still live and kicking) that I'll give them a chance when they will come out! (maybe Iron Kingdoms will have their own "Zsass Tam" or someone even more nefarious!)
