Getting started

This is my first blog on goodreads, and I am hoping it will be a new way that I can connect with friends and readers. The good news is that I have just sent off the final page proofs on my next novel - The Grass Castle - which is due to be published by my wonderful publishers Allen & Unwin in February next year. It's an exciting but scary time sending a book out there into the world. I see it as sharing part of myself, and I always hope people will enjoy it. You can't make everyone happy of course, but hopefully the majority of readers will come on the journey with me and give in to the emotional ride.
