There is no release date set for Captivated by You as of today (October 7, 2013). There are rumors being spread and false information being posted all over the web and on Goodreads, but it's all inaccurate.
I'm under the impression that the remaining 2 books of the series are already written. She is likely just dealing with publishers and editors. Once the contracts are signed she is no longer in control. I wish she would pull a Hugh Howey. In this day and age, publishers slow everything down. When you self publish, as Hugh Howey has done, you control everything and the profit is predominately yours (vs losing your contracted percentage to the publishers). You can also cut the price for your readers. When you aren't losing money to publishers you can sell your work for 5 bucks rather than 15 and make just as much if not MORE than what you would make through a publisher. And you can also release the book when YOU are ready to release it. Win = Win. The main downside is that everything falls on you (advertising, cover art, editing .... ). Just some food for thought Ms. Day and anyone else who is an aspiring writer. Check out Howey's blog. He's not the only one who is self publishing, and I agree with him, publishers, in time, are going to take a hit if they don't start playing more completive ball. Making 6 to 7 figures selling ebooks through Amazon isn't chump change (and Hugh has done it, all while selling books for under 5 dollars).
