Progress Report July 2013
Hello readers!
I've been up to my eyeballs in work recently, so please accept my apologies for not posting here for the last while. I did put up some reviews yesterday.
Raven Flight (Shadowfell Book 2) comes out within the next week or so. I hope readers will love the book. This has been a wonderful series to create. I've especially enjoyed writing a Scottish setting, or almost-Scottish! It was very hard for me to say goodbye to these characters when I completed the manuscript for the third book. Note, if you are putting reviews of Raven Flight up here or anywhere else, please be careful to avoid spoilers, especially for the ending.
I've completed the editorial work on The Caller (Shadowfell Book 3) and it's back with the publisher. The Caller will be published here in Australia later this year, but US readers will have to wait until 2014, sorry!
Travel: as you know, I've attended Supanova in Sydney and Perth this year, and I will be in the UK for the World Fantasy Convention in late October/early November (in Brighton.) I will be in Lisbon, Portugal from November 6-9, and there will be opportunities for Portuguese readers to hear me speak and to have a book signed. We'll be trying to avoid the overcrowding issues that occurred during my last Lisbon signing, when a lot of people had to wait a long time in the line.
Audiobooks: Don't forget to check out the wonderful new audiobooks of my work from Audible.com. They have already produced audiobooks of Blade of Fortriu and The Well of Shades, and Daughter of the Forest will be released on July 25, with the rest of the Sevenwaters series to follow. Very exciting!
I have various events booked for 2014 but will advise details later - right now I am getting back to work on Dreamers' Wood, the first book in the Blackthorn & Grim series. This novel is due at the end of the year and I need to work fast to get it done.

I ordered Raven Flight last week, so anxiously awaiting the mail delivery now - it will go straight to the top of my TBR pile!!!!

I think I made a strange noise when I got the email announcing Raven Flight's release! My 6-yr-old gave me a look :) I am so thrilled!!!
I drove 40 minutes out of my city to find Raven Flight in a bookstore that wasn't sold out! It was a long journey, but so totally worth it once I physically got my hands on it!!!!! I will start reading it TODAY!!!!!

I had pre-oredered Raven Flight for my kindle and it was delivered just in time to take on my vacation tomorrow! Can't wait to read it! LOVED you Sevenwaters series and Wildwood Dancing and am in the middle of Dark Mirror. You are such a gifted storyteller. Thank you for sharing your amazing talent with us!
Juliet, I am at about the 60% mark, and am really loving it. I just love Flint, and I like Neryn's quiet strength. The descriptions of the various Good Folk are wonderfully detailed. There are parts that definitely echo The Lord of the Rings for me, but not in an overdone, too derivative way. I love the portrayal of women in all of your books, and while I think that Liadan is still my favorite, Neryn is right up there.I can't wait for the third book. Fantastic, wonderful writing.

I've had a reviewer make a very nice Flint/Aragorn comparison.
LOL! Yes, I am totally devoted! You are officially the only author who's books I actually still purchase in book format! Every other book has been relegated to being bought on my Nook! Your books I NEED to hold in my hands and see on my bookshelf(they look good there too!!)!!! I am on chapter 13, and I'm mad because, though I'm not finished, I will be soon and oh the agony of having to wait for the final installment(tear drop to my eye)!!!! I am loving the book like I knew I would and I am excited about the last one like its releasing right around the corner! Keep up the great work!
Oh my god, I can hardly believ that very soon enought you will be here again, and I might see you again, can't wait for it... I'm almost finishing Flame of Sevenwaters and I'm loving it, althought as usual you already made cry a little (lol)... Keep well and have safe trips...
I just finished Raven Flight and it was absolutely enthralling. It was so hard to put down, and I couldn't stop thinking about it. It makes me want to move to Australia so that I can get The Caller sooner. Thank you for your work and devotion to your readers. You have been my favorite author since I first sat down to adventure at Sevenwaters!
Read Raven Flight, enjoyed it, hate that I have to wait for Caller **sigh**!!!!
The much anticipated Flame of Sevenwaters was delivered on Sat and I sat in the shining sun and binge read it and had a huge sense of sadness that the series was over! :( Loved that series! Going to download all the audiobooks and listen to it in full when they come out! You are 100% my fav author and I really love the new Shadowfell series! Please keep writing as I will keep waiting for more! Thanks!
I absolutely love Shadowfell! I am about to start reading Raven Flight and I am extremely excited! Actually, when I saw it in the shops I freaked out because I was so excited :P
I still remember the day I bought "Daughter of the forest" , since then I never stopped . Your books are a healthy addiction that I have no intention to quite. Would be great if I could make it to UK or Portugal , but I don't think I can :( .I would love to meet you , hopefully will have another opportunity.
