A Suggestion

Sometimes, I get tired of seeing the constant stream of bad news shared in the media. It's not that I don't realize bad things happen, because I do. But for every bad news story out there, there are ten good stories that never make it into the news. Sharing the ills of society perplexes me, it's like sharing a viral sneeze. Why would you do that?

So, here's my challenge; read the news on Happy News for a week, or better yet, skip the news altogether, and see if your world view doesn't change. Just a suggestion...

Rhea Rhodan Exactly. I'm on e-mail lists for all of the causes near and dear to me. They let me know when to make a phone call, send an e-mail or sign a petition--when I can actually DO something. I rarely read or watch the news, though I'll occasionally read (heart-warming or informative) linked articles posted by Friends on FB. I quit the news because I was constantly finding myself angry or upset about things I had no control over.
