Deluge of the Dead (Release 12/12/12)

It's taken longer than planned, but I hope you will find it worth the wait. "Deluge of the Dead" is set for release on 12/12/12 (Amazon Kindle only). The 3rd book in the Sovereign Spirit Saga expands the scope of rescue operations and reveals that there are worse threats than undead cannibals facing survivors of the zombie apocalypse.

Follow Scott, Carl and their companions as they struggle to defend a stronghold of civilization in the face of overwhelming odds. You may be surprised at which of the characters you have come to know and love (or hate) fall victim to the apocalypse and you will be shocked at the depths of cruelty and inhumanity to which some of the survivors descend.

There will be one more promotional giveaway for "Voyage of the Dead" before Christmas to introduce new readers to the series, as well as a limited time price reduction on "Flotilla of the Dead" to promote the release of "Deluge of the Dead." And don't forget that all of these books are great electronic stocking stuffers! You can buy them "as a gift" on Amazon and set the digital delivery date for 12/25/12. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all.

Paul G 3 days n counting. I started re-reading the first of the current 2 today so they will be fresh in my mind by the 12th.

If #3 is any where CLOSE to the first 2, the wait was well worth it.

peace

Thanks Paul. Considering all the emails and Facebook comments since I announced the release, I'm hoping that "Deluge of the Dead" will jump up the charts.

It would be great if you decided to "gift" the first book (and/or 2nd) to any friends who might like like it for Christmas too. I'm hoping to revive interest in the series.

By the way, one of my fans is writing a spin-off that I will be editing/contributing to, so the 3rd book is only the end of the beginning. ;-)

Paul G Interest needs to be REVIVED?! Man, I've been checking here, FB, and any place else I could think of watching for word of #3.

So far, I'm the only person I know with a Kindle :(

But I always make sure to tell people about awesome books from Amazon and try to convince them to at LEAST get Kindle For PC ;P

David P Forsyth Thanks, Paul. There is a "Voyage of the Dead" page on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/pages/Voyage-... and my own website at www.davidpforsyth.com too. The latter includes a role playing blog (at www.sovereignspirit.net) and an interactive glossary called the Toy Box. Please spread the word.

Randy Harmelink Sigh. Guess I'll have to read one of my free zombie books. :(

message 10: by David P (new)

David P Forsyth Sorry guys. I will get it posted tonight, but Amazon might not approve it until tomorrow. I had a family emergency and just got back from visiting my mother in the hospital last night. It was touch and go for a couple of days, but the doctor reports that she is doing better today. Just adding finishing touches today. Damn, I'm sure I missed a lot of typos again! Maybe Randy will send me a list of them. ;-)

SO SORRY to hear about your Mom. Really glad she's doing better.

I know you'll get it out as soon as you can, no worries. I'll just keep checkin the Kindle store

message 12: by David P (new)

David P Forsyth Thanks again for your patience and support. I'm on it!

Randy Harmelink Best wishes to your mom.

And, LOL. You know I'll be highlighting. I've only given up on the one book: Austerity

message 14: by David P (new)

David P Forsyth Deluge of the Dead has been "approved" by Amazon and is now "publishing" on 12-12-12 as promised. However, it may take up to 12 hours to show up in the Kindle Store. I will post a link when it does.

And thanks, Randy. I will be releasing an edited trilogy edition of the first three books soon. Your comments will be incorporated in the edits.

Paul G I GOT IT I GOT IT! 0745am est woooohooooo

message 16: by Randy (new)

Randy Harmelink Got it.

But "de fend" splits a line in your description.

$3.99, eh?

message 17: by Randy (new)

Randy Harmelink Paul -- I wonder which of us got the first purchase? Is there a prize for that? :)

message 18: by Randy (new)

Randy Harmelink Paul -- Did you have a problem opening the book? I got a message on my Kindle telling me it couldn't be opened, and to delete it from my device and download it again.

The second copy opened fine.

I've never seen that error message before.

message 19: by David P (new)

David P Forsyth Thanks, Randy. I'll edit the description.

Paul, maybe you were the first to download it and that caused the error.

As for the price... Sorry, but this is intended for existing fans of the series, so I don't expect to sell as many copies as the first one. The $3.99 setting will also let me lower it to $2.99 during promotions. I hope that those of you who already like the series will find it worth the extra buck to see what happens next. Trust me, I can use it! ;-)

message 20: by Paul (new)

Paul G Sorry, I missed all the previous posts as I was READING A BOOK. lol j/k

I didn't have any problem opening the book on my Kindle. Just had a problem reading it uninterrupted as my phone started blowing up on me about 30 minutes after I started and I had several errands to run this morning.

I've never seen that error message on my Kindle before either Randy.....

David P Forsyth "Deluge of the Dead (Sovereign Spirit Saga #3)" is now available at http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00ANFW7KS Thanks for your interest in the series.

message 22: by Randy (new)

Randy Harmelink David -- did you see this article from last week: http://finance.yahoo.com/news/other-y...

Support yachts are for people who have outgrown their mega-yachts and need more space for their helicopters, speedboats, launches and submarines. The support yacht acts as a floating garage, trailing alongside the main yacht with all of the owner's oversized "toys."

message 23: by David P (new)

David P Forsyth Very cool link, Randy. I want one! However, Scott's tricked out Sovereign Spirit is an all in one Expedition-Mega-Yacht. Here is a link to the actual ship that the Sovereign Spirit is based on. It was for sale in Greece for only $5 million Euros when I started writing the Saga. Scroll down to see photos of the interior, vehicle deck, and how it was used as the floating studio/set for Fashion TV.

Paul G @Randy...you notice David never answered your question about the first purchase? Hmmm.... ;P

wow..with both Randy's n your links above, I WANNA BE RICH SO I CAN PLAY WITH THE BIG BOY TOYS TOO!! :D

message 25: by David P (new)

David P Forsyth I have no way to know which of you bought the first copy. Considering Randy's glitch, it might be him, but that is just a guess. I'm just glad you both bought it and hope you like it. :)

message 26: by Randy (new)

Randy Harmelink Paul -- Ever heard of Residensea? It's a cruise ship where people BUY upscale condos on it. I remember seeing early on that the association dues alone were $30K per month.
