OHMYGOD!!! So GOOD! My wife and I just listened to it in the dark. Also, you did an awesome job of narrating! Thanks for sharing!
Unfortunately the UK site is insisting that you create an account. Although you do not have to enter any billing details it is asking for address and telephone number.Sorry Neil. A lovely gesture but I will have to miss out this time.
As always, your narrative style is a treat. Great horror story told very quickly. I look forward to hearing the 10 year reading of Coraline you are also offering up. http://mousecircus.com/coraline-video...
Just now finished watching the George Mason Awards...we'd just had dinner and were channel-surfing. Oh, wonderful coincidence! I squealed, someone dropped the remote control (that's what is done when Mother squeals,) and all sat to listen and watch. The whole thing would have been beyond perfect if we'd had some lightning and thundering, but the children (don't be fooled by the title as they only accept this denomination when it is convenient, comfortable, and no friends surround them) were engrossed (and quiet, thank you...from the bottom of our middle-aged hearts,) happy and spooked by the time the whole thing was over.I just heard one saying click-clack to the other as they climbed the stairs (slowly) to their respective rooms...
At the risk of making our lives sound tremendously dull, we had a great time tonight. We will definitely download it and listen again...
I played it for the girls at my daughter's annual Halloween sleepover last night, 9 and 10-year-olds. It can be difficult to get a dozen girls hyped on sugar to sit and listen, so several of them were having trouble being quiet at the beginning. Evidently, they needed it -start- scary, because, at two minutes in, there were repeated cries of "it's not scary!" Give it some time doesn't mean a lot at that age, I think. However, at the end, when they realized what had happened, they couldn't stop talking about it and were still talking about it this morning. They're already saying "you better pay attention or the click-clack will get you."
I heard the sample with a tearing eye ! Why can't I just download the whole thing just because I am not from the UK ? =(
Maybe you can find it in Book TV? They aired it in our region on Saturday and they might have it on their webpage?
I'm very glad you added the link. I got over excited and tried to find it on my own on the Audible site and couldn't find it. I have it now. Thank you very much!
I went and downloaded it but sadly cannot listen to it, as audible does not seem to think people surrounded by Linux machines have the right to listen to their stuff...
