Hi Mattew, I agree with you, I usually do not give bad reviews based on typos. The good thing about ebooks is you can contact the author and point them so he can correct them.

Hi Matthew, I always wonder about the drive to write and publish when the average return is so low.
I've written a lot of stories over the years, but I usually just let them die after a first draft, mostly because I have a full time job and a family, but partly because once they are out, they lose that intensity for me. I find editing to be work, and returning to a story I've already written to be like an attempt to return to a dream I've already awoken from.
I have the highest respect for you authors who have the ability to follow through and see your efforts "finished".

It is definitely painful to edit and re-edit something. Believe me, starting the process of re-reading and editing Atopia each time (I must have done it 10 times at least) and staring at 150,000 words that I needed to focus on again was a process that felt something as I'd imagine sticking bamboo under fingernails must feel like. In the end, though, it is rewarding, and perhaps the most rewarding to connect with people who enjoyed reading!
