Argh

I'm at a counter at logan airport trying to go to Minneapolis. The computer believes that British Airways gave me a paper ticket when I went from London to Boston last week. Just missed my flight home, and I may have to buy a new ticket. And I am blogging this because there is nothing else I can do, while a helpful lady works hard to try to get me home in the face of a ticket that now exists only in theory. It's my nightmare of paperless ticketing finally come true. Ah well...

Daphne That's a real bummer. A similar thing happened to my mother and mother-in-law when they were trying to return home as well. You have a great attitude though. Some people might explode in frustration.

Malin Boston accents make everything a little better! Good luck with the flight, hope it all works out.

Bridget Weller It could be worse. A friend of mine was told at LA airport that he had already boarded, so couldn't possibly a) do so now or b) be himself at all. There was little he could do but wave his passport and yell 'But I am me!' over and over again. It ended very badly. Rubber gloves were involved.
