THE FIRST CONFESSOR: The Legend of Magda Searus

We are 17 days away from one of the most important launches of my career as an author. THE FIRST CONFESSOR is an unprecedented title for a number of reasons. First, I am publishing it myself. There will be three versions; an ebook (available on all platforms, English, and simultaneously world-wide), a Limited Collector's Edition with a hardcover printing inside, and an audio book. Second, it is a foundational novel that explores the origins of key pieces of SWORD OF TRUTH lore. Many of my readers oldest questions will be answered here. And third, we decided to up the stakes considerably by creating the Collector's Edition and the audio book -- two projects that we have spent untold hours hiring, designing, proofing, assembling, and preparing for release.

Thank you for your interest in this novel. We're confident you are going to find a truly exceptional story inside and we're glad to have the opportunity to share a little bit about the road we've taken to get here.

More posts again soon.

Elizabeth So, I'm pretty sure the ebook came out today! Looking forward to reading the reviews. Who knows, maybe it'll be just as spectacular as Faith of the Fallen. :D Boy, I hope so. These comments are starting to half-convince me, practically in spite of myself, to buy a copy. *sigh* Speaking of, where would I even get one? Which website?

Mermarie I see you live in PA. Well, it will be REALLY easy for you to download the AMAZON.COM application for PC/MAC, iphone,(or what you need it for) and so on.

Just download/install one of those readers you need, and buy the book. You can read it right on your PC.

I want to know too.

Elizabeth *sigh* Yes, I gave in. I haven't started reading it, though. The reviews on Amazon were really positive, so what could I do, you know? Apparently it's not like The Omen Machine at all, which is what I was worried about.

Tony Phalstaf I'm late to this conversation but I am looking forward to the audiobook. That's how I get all my books. I dont't understand why people didn't like the omen machine. I thought it was great. I'm hoping for a coss over story from the characters from the law of nines one day too. This will be my next book as soon as I'm done with the newest Monster Hunter book.

Jeremy Terry, I did want to say that I do love your books. I actually got hooked on your books after my friend begged me to read your books for a year and I refused, and then I finally caved in and I was hooked from the first paragraph. Sadly I wont be able to read The First Confessor, because I cant read the digital formats of the book. The way my mind works, I cant focus at all to read a book on a screen, yet I can easily read each of your books in a few hours in paper print. I had actually just finished serving in the military and was on a missionary trip out of country when the information was released about the print version of your book, and I never had the opportunity to go online and purchase it. I love reading all of your books, and have always purchased them as soon as I found out that they were released. I do hope that you will eventually release this novel in a print format so that I and others that suffer from the same condition can enjoy what I already know must be a great book.

I do commend though for do a self-publish of this novel, and would love to see more authors do this. Thank you for all the books that you have published and I pray that you never run out of ideas for the story.

Nikki Bennett I have to say, I've been a huge Goodkind fan since age 10, when my older brother introduced me to 'Wizard's First Rule'. I used to carry his books to school with me, despite odd looks from classmates (apparently my reading material of choice was considered strange to other 10- and 11-year-olds). I have read all but 'The Omen Machine', and now I feel compelled to go out and buy it, and this one. Apparently I'm a little late to this party, but as long as I get to read them, I care not. : )
Terry, from the bottom of my heart, I truly love ALL of your work, and would almost definitely end my life if you ever stopped producing it. xD
I will read every word you write, and enjoy every moment of it. Thank you, over and over again, for inspiring my dreams and fantasies.
-Nikki B., WV

Brenda I too am a huge fan of Terry's books, and own the entire collection. "The Omen Machine" was a bit of a letdown because it didn't have his heart in it. Perhaps it was due to publishers' demands on what needed included and beaten into us? The repetition of Nikki's past as a Death's Mistress... but the hag was probably the best part of the entire book!

Well, I'm glad it has been confirmed I can download the latest creation onto my pc, but I too am a much bigger fan of paper books. You can call me old-fashioned, or technology-challenged, but a paper book has never failed me, and computers have. Perhaps I can print it off myself once I purchase it? The thought of staring at my computer screen much more than I have to for my work puts me off just a bit.

Just my two-cents worth.
