Bob Bello I think this is old news, but some constantly rejected authors are correct: "With self-publishing, at least we get our names out there..." I know 1000s of them, whose work is rejected because they are unknown, not because their stories are shallow. If the French Impressionists painted even for pennies, living on the streets (while today their artwork is sold on auctions for millions!), then self-publishers cannot be stopped by mere rejection letters either. I think that's what constitutes writer-at-heart from writer-at-purse--the desire to create, no matter what! Yes, even if the pay is lousy or nonexistent. Godspeed!
