Demonata option

Lord Loss, the first book of my Demonata series, was published way back in 2005. Hell's Heroes, the final book, came out in 2009. So, 19 years since the series began, and 15 since it ended. In all that time, nobody has come in strong, looking to adapt it into a movie or film. Cirque Du Freak has been optioned (twice), and Zom-B, and Lady of the Shades, and for a while there was even interest in a Koyasan musical (!!!), but no one seemed to be feeling the love for a potential Demonata adaptation....

Thomas Carmichael That's fantastic news! I adored both Cirque Du Freak and the Demonata as a tween and early teen. I still have a picture perfect memory of seeing Cirque Du Freak on the shelf in my primary school library when I was ten or eleven. I can remember exactly what shelf in the library it was on, even the angle I was standing at relative to the shelf. I immediately was drawn to it and knew there was something special about it. Needless to say I was right and had the whole series read within probably a month or two. Still remember everything about it despite never having re-read it. Had a similar experience when I first saw the Demon Thief on a shelf in Eason's in Belfast, I loved the cover art so much that I was gutted when I picked it up and realised it was the second in a series and I would have to buy Lord Loss instead. That disappointment would have been forgotten within a few pages I'm sure.
