two short story sales

And one of them is to a new (for me) market! Apex Magazine has picked up "Waiting for Beauty" (another one of my twisted fairy-tale retellings), and Beneath Ceaseless Skies has bought "The Ascent of Unreason" -- a new Driftwood story!

No pub dates yet for either of those, but I'll let you know when they go live.

Michael Underwood Huzzah! Especially for more Driftwood. You've got to be getting close to being able to do a full Driftwood collection.

Marie Brennan Not quite yet. Only 17K words so far; even if I wrote the big Driftwood novelette/novella I have in mind, that's not really a collection yet.

But with a few more . . . maybe!

Michael Underwood Luckily, with the Kindle Single/eBook options more viable these days, you could get away with a shorter collection if you did it yourself. But I will be content to read them as they come.

Marie Brennan True. But I'd want the collection to feel reasonably substantial -- at least 50K, I'd think. Otherwise it feels like I'm jumping the gun.
