A Trilogy

Is THREE books. Three, then done. Over, finished, complete. The Dragonheart Trilogy. Three books. I know some readers sincerely feel that asking for more is flattering. It is, it really is. To a point. But there’s been a lot of demanding and haranguing over this one with readers who want, and demand and—sorry, not sorry— … Continue reading A Trilogy →

KRISTINA GREER So, while I always want to read more of any storyline you write, you write it and I am not going to impose my desires on you. If the story is not in your mind, then that's ok! I'll take more of Eve and Roarke if that is where your muse is leading you! Just write what you want and most of us readers will enjoy it!!

Chris VanDyke Wow! This just keeps happening over and over! What is wrong with people? Trilogy equals 3 books. It’s not hard to figure out. 3 and done. Simple. Well for most people it’s simple. For others obviously not. Kudos to you, Nora, and to Laura, for keeping everyone in line. Love all the books and although I may wish for this or that I’d never ask for it. I can have my little wishes that my imagination can take care of. I can’t write but I can imagine very well. Hope you and Laura and families have a happy and healthy holiday season.

Kimberly I applaud your response. You get the story that you get. Writer or reader. Trilogy=3. Folks are free to imagine their own wedding, babies, or whatever. You are not at our beck and call. Bless and release.

Carol Ann Doveatt I am thrilled to read your words and if I think something extra is needed, I make it up myself. You keep writing, and I will keep reading. Brava for your response to those who feel they can dictate to a writer. There is to be no whining for additions to trilogies.

Cheryl Soul2Soul Totally agree with Kimberly, you get the story that you get! And it is a wonderfull Trilogy, touched me a lot

message 6: by Candi (new)

Candi Maybe I'm weird, but I have come to expect from Nora exactly what she gives in each trilogy or stand alone book....a story in a specific number of parts centered around a specific character. I don't expect a series (a.k.a. soap opera) with endless side stories centered around other characters within the original story.

I read Nora's trilogies specifically because I know I'm going to get a well written story in 3 parts (books) and that when I'm finished with the last one...that's the end.

Bravo, Nora, for your response. You always let us know up front what we're going to get with anything you write. We should be content that you're going to give us the best story you have in you. I know I am.

Cindy Nora,
Some people are very unkind and selfish and I’m sorry for that. Please remember those individuals are not the majority but a very few. Love your books, your writings, your spirit and most of all your heart. Keep doing what you do!!! Gods blessings.

Heather Williams All I can say is I love reading your books.

message 9: by Callie (new)

Callie It’s disheartening to learn that some readers can be so demanding and thoughtless. I’ve been reading Nora Roberts books for all of my adult life and I especially LOVE her trilogies! She brings us into the world that she created, gives us romance, adventure and battle scenes and beautifully ends the series. We get to use our own imagination to write the characters’ futures! Nora, don’t let those few fans spoil or taint your lovely story. You are simply the best.

message 10: by Rachelle (new)

Rachelle I still can't believe you get these types of demands. When I finish a book, or a trilogy, and I really loved it so feel like I want more, I just put it in my mental to be read again list. I can't tell you how many times I've re-read (or listened to) the In Death series or the Chronicles series and especially Shelter in Place. Sure, I want to read about the happy ever after of some of these characters, but I think sometimes it's best to let my imagination fly and come up with my own future HEA stories. You have an amazing imagination to conjure these characters and spin it all together. Receiving one of your pre-ordered books is like Christmas morning EVERY SINGLE TIME. Thanks for all your hard work and keep them coming! Have a wonderful Christmas!

Lydia Kalat I just finished reading The Choice and it did not disappoint. I am looking forward to reading the brand new trilogy to come. I have a question. Am I the only one that saw a literary connection in the attack on the dragon's nesting area to the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School? 26 dragons, 20 fledglings, 6 adult dragons
2 attackers, a male and a female I suppose the numbers could be coincidental, but I would need some convincing.
