What to look out for in The Ink Black Heart

The Ink Black Heart presents Cormoran Strike and Robin Ellacott with a new case, centred around the fans and creators of the eponymous cult cartoon set in Highgate Cemetery. Michele The Strike novels normally grab me from page 1, but I'm over 200 pages in & having a hard time getting through this one. The in-game parallel chats between the game mods are confusing and really annoying. Hoping it gets better soon.

I found them really interesting once I found a way to read them which suited me best. For most of these parts, I read a column at a time on each page, for others I read one column over several pages the went back to read the next - linking with what I had already been reading (I hope that makes sense).

I hope you find a way of reading them easier as it really adds to the story and what is going on.

Angelo Caltagirone The problem is, that with Kindle it is almost unreadable, as the font is very tiny, and it is almost impossible to enlarge the font, as it is an image and not text. This was a mistake when converting the text for Kindle (or maybe for all e-books formats).

Angelo Caltagirone I mean the fonts of the chats, the rest is ok.

Sebastian Rusu It's definitely something else with the inclusion of the chats particularly in audiobook format HOWEVER the story is still great, my attention is fully captured and I think the depiction of how toxic these online followings/fandoms can get is spot on. I think this is one of my favourite Strike books so far!

Angelo Caltagirone Kindle has just published a corrected version, I got an email that tells, they had some problems, I should download the new version. I have not done it yet, but I think it is the font problems that they adressed.

Janie Well, I am almost on page 700 and I have found is very boring. I am continuing to read it for one reason, in the hopes that Strike and Robin will somehow talk and straighten out all the misconceptions that they keep having about what each is thinking. Perhaps they will get together...?
