Thank you, Annie. What happens in my story is not uncommon, but not much talked about. I will be grateful if you would post your comment on the Fiction on the Web site too,

Amazon has chosen as the #1 “most helpful” review at the top of my reviews::
“I'm a life-long horse lover and owner and though I also write, it would never occur to me to pen a tale about horses sent to slaughter. Ugh.. this is not what I had hoped to read at all. It wasn't that the horses were lost; the characters were utterly lost and utterly devoid of morals.
Such reactions left me shaken with self-doubt, but you have restored my confidence.
Lots of thanks and good wishes.

Funny enough, I read something on FB only the other day from a lady offering a word of warning. She'd purchased from a kill buyer, then through circumstances had to sell the horse later on. The buyer sent it back into that system, the lady found out. Ended up having a friend buy the horse (now in a pitiful state) and between them got it back to health over several months.
It is real, it happens! People ARE devoid of morals, horses are being subjected to cruelty every day.
I'm glad that I may have helped you and please don't let negativity stop you from writing.
Best wishes, Annie
I
