Stupify

Right now, I'm feeling kind of like Harry Potter pulled out his wand and hit me with a "Stupify" spell. This morning, I received two emails informing me that both of my 2021 releases (Danger on the Loch & Heirs of Falcon Point) had finaled for the Whitney Awards. The Whitneys are kind of like the Academy Awards for LDS authors. Brandon Sanderson, Brandon Mull, Charlie Holmberg, Amy Harmon, etc., are all Whitney Award finalists this year too. So, if I seem a little out of it, I am. I never expected anything like this when I dreamed up these novels. I'm humbled, honored, and a whole lot bewildered. This kind of stuff happens to other peeps, not to little old me. But I am so excited that it did.
