All I can think about is what kind of cake I want.
Seriously.
People have all kinds of ways they mark the launch of a book. Before COVID, there were big splashy parties with readings and live music and yummy apps and lots of wine. Those were fun, especially if you came hungry.
Then COVID happened and people started hanging firefly lights in their Zoom backdrops and orchestrating Facebook live events where the folks who answered the goofy questions could win a randomly drawn prize.
I'm not good at goofy. Although I can be random. And I like the idea of firefly lights. But I think I'd need a tripod for my phone to do that kind of stuff ... 18 months into COVID I've managed not to buy one yet. Can you believe it?
So ... ideas? A big slice of something from my favorite bakery might be the whole event if I'm left to my own devices.
Oh, and also the book. It will be here, too.
Happy Friday, all!
(And I would do a small party if I were in your shoes!)
