My Battle of the Bulge Continues

Oh boy, here's another blog post on my weight. What a thrill. Who cares? Well, like I do, for one. Anyway, I guess it must be a slow day. Either that, or my annual medical physical is rolling up soon. The first thing the nurse does is weigh me. Why can't the doctors just skip doing that step?

I guess a sedentary job and getting older (but not so much wiser) have contributed to the ease to stack on the pounds. Groan. Sigh. Moan. At any rate, I manage to keep them off, give or take a pound. Or three. But who's counting? Right, I am. Here's something weird I've noticed of late.

The days I don't get out and do my roadwork (up to 2.1 miles now), I get crotchety or something like that. It's like your body craves the physical exercise. Others I've talked to have verified this reaction, so I'm not going nuts. If you give your body something healthy, it expects it all the time. So, I ask you, who's really in control here?

Have a great and healthy week!
