First Sentence of THE BONE MAKER
My favorite sentence to write is the first one. It invites the reader into your world. Here's my first sentence from THE BONE MAKER (coming 3/9/21 from Harper Voyager):
"Kreya always wore her coat with many pockets when she went out to steal bones."

Mabey it starts with something like :"I had no idea what was happening! His teacher had turned into a goat and had been sucked into the sky by those wind demons! Wait, let me rewind to where it all started..."
Yessss! I can't wait for this!! March can't come soon enough!
As a budding writer I always find the first sentence impossible to write. Any tips?
