The Silicon Mage is one of my all-time favorites of the books I've read. Bought it at Ye Olde Book Shoppe in my hometown. Didn't know it was the second book, but it didn't matter because I loved it and still go back to read it whenever I'm feeling a little lost. If anyone who is seeing this comment hasn't read it yet, you should.

It makes me happy to hear that the Silicon Mage was one of your favorites of the books you've written, because it is also one of my favorites. In fact, the Windrose Chronicles are my favorites of your books. Since there aren't any of your books I didn't like, this puts Windrose at the top of a range of books which are already up there in my estimation.
I just feel really, really fortunate whenever I find an author whose books feel like a special, special treat, as yours do. The list of authors who do this for me has grown as I have aged, but it is still not a long list.
So thank you so very much for your art!
