Grim, Dark and Cancel

Did a long interview with the very lovely Beth Tabler for Grimdark Magazine a few weeks back, in which Beth put some very thought provoking questions and we covered vast swathes of ground – from gay swordsmen and classical heroes to cyberpunk and cancel culture.

Get it while it’s hot!

fasz This was a great interview.

I don't agree with you on many things, but I appreciate your brutal candor.
Your thoughts on Hollywood and American culture were thought provoking (especially since I don't live there), went into a long, Quell-like monologue which is always good to read.
The part about Cancel Culture was powerful.
And knowing that you are working on a continuation for Hakan (not just the series, but actually picking up the threads of a known character) is good news.
I don't hype my hopes up for the TV show, they tend to fizzle out (RIP Consider Phlebas), but if it gets made, that will be interesting.

I would have liked some more discussion about ALFfH and the characters and technicalities, but oh well.

You had the exact same argument with that buddhist as I frequently have with my dad.
