Huge fan of yours here. Dread Empire's Fall is without a doubt, one of the finest pieces of work I've ever encountered. I admit to listening to the audiobooks, one after the other - in rapid succession, no less.
Is this your whale sighting photo? If so, congrats on an excellent capture! I have to wonder though, is this a picture of the humpback calf that breached some 30 times in Monterey Bay a few days ago? The timing of your post leads me to believe that it might be. If not, it's one heck of a coincidence! :)
One more time - thank you for your work! If you're not too busy, I could use another addition to Dread Empire's Fall. The only problem I've found with the series is that there's nothing out there that I can compare it to. In other words - you set too high of a bar, I'm afraid. The Expanse series is pretty good - but Daniel Abraham himself admits to finding inspiration from Dread Empire's Fall!
