Okay, this one is true.
At the Q&A following the premiere of the new TOLKIEN film in Los Angeles last week, I did indeed say that Gandalf could kick Dumbledore’s ass.
Got a nice laugh. Which was good. Cause it was a joke, y’know.
Which doesn’t mean it isn’t true.
Gandalf COULD kick Dumbledore’s ass. I mean, duh. He’s a maia, folks. Next best thing to a demigod. Gandalf dies and come back. Dumbledore dies and stays dead.
But if it will calm down all the Potterites out there, let me say that G...

Seriously Seren sucking up to him won't get the books done any faster. I think he is too rich to care about finishing. GoT ends Sunday May 19th, 2019 forever...
Sure, reading Wind of Winter one day would be fabulous, but you know what else would be a good read? A fanfic about Gandalf and Dumbledore partaking in a wizardly bar fight. I would like that.
Good point Seren, at this point I only hope Winds of Winter and A Dream of Spring to be way better than the whole Season 8, even with a completely different ending...

I, too, want a good WoW. Watching the last couple of weeks of Thrones has been disappointing. I feel all the characters (except maybe Varys) have suddenly stopped acting like themselves. I console myself with the knowledge that some day in the near future I will delve into WoW and return to a Westeros and Essos where characters I love who just died on the show are alive again and no one has horribly violated poor Sansa. And where, of course, Lady Stoneheart exists and is happily hanging Freys. ❤️
Gandalf v Melisandre is a fight I'd pay to see.
