Well, it’s finally here. The moment when store shelves get filled with shiny hardcovers and pre-orders ship and ebooks download and my precious book baby stops being mine.
It’s a moment I’ve lived through ten times now (HOW IS THIS MY TENTH BOOK???) and yet it’s still a head-spinning mix of excitement and panic. Because I want you guys to love this book so badly.
I hope it was worth all these months of waiting. And I want you all to know how much it means to me to have you stick with me–and Sophie–on this incredible journey we’re on. I wouldn’t have this job without you, dear readers. With every single piece of my heart, I thank you.

If you pre-ordered the B&N exclusive version of Flashback, Shannon announced in June that it would contain end papers drawn by Shannon as well as an exclusive short story from Fitz's point of view that would "answer the question fans have been asking about for years" (which most people guessed would be if Fitz liked Sophie or not.)

Wait. Really? Ugh! Nobody will like the ending of Flashback though, SERIOUSLY SHANNON! HOW DO YOU COME UP WITH THIS TORTURE?
i really don't know how she does it though... it's like she thinks of the most evil thing she can come up with, and publishes it to make us suffer (and make sure that we will buy the next book to know whats going to happen next)
But Shannon is so nice and awesome that she has to have a reason behind all of this...

I agree with the whole “make sure we buy the next book to know what’s going to happen next”, but I agree more with the fact that she has to have a reason behind the torture!

i used to be a foster-keefe shipper, but after reading Flashback im annoyed with keefe. i mean, he keeps on saying "dont hate me" and stuff like that. SHE DOESNT HATE YOU OK?! JUST STOP BEING AN ANGSTY TEEN PLEASE

I agree! As of the beginning of the series, I have been a full-on Fitzphie shipper, because, well why not? They are the best!! Ever since I read this book, I keep wondering what is going on in Keefe's head and why he thinks that Sophie will hate him. Just listen to her already! She doesn't hate you!!

I totally second the whole Keefe being annoying. When does he finally realize that Sophie doesn’t hate him?

I don't know what to say anymore.... I have to say I loved the plot and everything of Flashback, but since we're on the topic of ships, can I just ask WHERE WAS KEEFE IN ALL OF THIS?!?! Flashback was definitely a Sophitz book, and it felt like Keefe was just there. I still respect all Sophitz shippers (and if I sound rude then please don't take it personally, I'm apologizing in advance because it seems that whatever I say is always taken the wrong way so...) but I honestly think that Keefe will end up with Sophie, and that he's the best for her. One, Fitz had barely had any character development until Flashback, and even then there's barely any development. I can't tell you anything specific about Fitz except for the fact that he's hot and has anger issues. (once again, don't take this the wrong way and please don't hate me. Oh no, I'm turning into Keefe XD) Also, (going back to Lodestar and Nightfall) in the scene where Luminaria was falling apart and Sophie had her glove off and was accidentally enhancing Keefe (hopefully ya'll know what I'm talking about). In Lodestar, he was smiling while he was being enhanced, which I couldn't help but assume that it meant that she loved him or whatever. It's basically confirmed in Nightfall when Sophie tells Keefe about the whole Sodex fail and he starts talking about how what you feel in your head and what you feel in your heart are different, but that your feelings could change if you knew what the feelings were in your heart. (I hope this makes sense; I'm tired ok?) Then Sophie asked what he sensed, and he wouldn't tell her. I was gonna say more, but I don't want this to turn into a rant, so yeah (and I'm tired, as before mentioned). But yeah, that's what I think and (once again) please don't take this in the wrong way and think that I'm saying that Sophitz is stupid and that your opinions are awful, because I'm not saying that. I shipped Sophitz at one (actually two) point(s) so I understand why Sophitz shippers feel so strongly about this ship. But yeah, I'm gonna shut up now...
