MAN, what a week it’s been! First off, let me thank ALL of you who did such great work, voting in the PBS “Great American Read” program. I know a lot of you voted day after day, and often multiple times a day; I appreciate that HUGELY—and your votes were not in vain!
PBS filmed the finale on Sunday night (swearing the audience to secrecy, which apparently worked; I didn’t see any leaks), but aired it this evening (Tuesday). It was an interesting format: they invited...

I am an avid reader but I don't read books more than once. That is, until I found Outlander. I am currently on my fifth time reading the series. Congratulations on a well deserved honor!
I voted every day for your book series Diana. I'm so happy for you. You totally deserve it! To Kill a Mockingbird is a pretty fantastic book to come in second behind.
Congratulations Diana! I started reading Outlander inthe early 1990's and waited impatiently each time for the next book, as I still do today. You are my favorite author and so deserving of the win! We watched the last half of the PBS great read and was thrilled to see you come in 2nd. Wow! Thanks for all the hard work and love you give each book. Oh and thanks for attending the Decatur book festival in the past so I could get to hear you speak as well.

WTG. Very much deserved. I love your books!!! I have gone back to pages 253 (i think it is) in Voyager and read the part Claire returns to Jamie at the print shop and he faints. I remember laughing out loud the first time i read it. Bug, strong, wonderful Jamie, on the floor. Your characters are so rich. Love the stories.
