It’s been a long drumroll…

But THE RECKONING has finally come!

On sale today, an appearance on “CBS This Morning” this morning, and a few tour stops ahead.  Thank you, as always, to the best booksellers on Earth and to the most loyal, patient – and discerning – readers in the world!  I hope you enjoy this novel.  It is different.

A few reviews are in:

A murder mystery, a courtroom drama, a family saga…The Reckoning is Grisham’s argument that he’s not just a boilerplate thriller writer. Most jurors will think the counselor has made his case.”—USA Today

“The quest for justice is only the beginning in this Southern-family saga…Grisham does so much more this time around.”—Associated Press

Debra Always pre-order John Grisham’s books! The best in legal thrillers. If I could do it again, I would have been a medical malpractice attorney; especially since I had 2 of the best represent me in 2000. Yes, they won for me!! Now my middle child & only daughter is an attorney & she continues to make me proud. Who knows, I might just become one. I am only 57 years young. Keep up the great writing Mr. Grisham. Beside knowing the law yourself as an attorney, you keep this reader up late reading your stories. Looking for some more of your books being made into movies. Any news there? God Bless.

Laurie Stephens I listened to this on Audible for over two months on drives. I was crazy invested in it and I am crushed to say that the last four chapters had 0 to do with what I spent over 20 hours building up to. I don't understand why so much was dedicated to the war and POW and the trial to have that ending which had no connection to anything else. I have read every book by JG. It has been a week and I still can't get over my sheer annoyance at the ending. I was invested in the characters and this was a total sham. Don't do it, people.
