Any new updates?? I've reread this book several times...and each time I find something new! I am itching to see what happens next.
Just finished the first book and almost cried when I finished the last page. I need to know what happens! Please tell me the sequel is coming soon?!
I just finished "The Thinking Woman's Guide..." and it ended so abruptly I thought and hoped there might be a sequel. Now I've been reading all the chatter, but I see that there hasn't been any news for a while. No pressure, but how is it going? I'm missing all the characters (well except for Raclin!). The Thinking Woman's Guide to Real Magic
So sick of waiting for this sequel...how long do authors really think people are going to wait?! I get it takes times, but sometimes it really gets out of hand. Who cares anymore...
To everyone who wants an update, go to her Twitter. She seems most active there. She stated the book is done but she is trying to find a publisher. She has replied in the comments to people. To the few of you who are disrespecting her about the release date, get a hold of yourselves. She wrote an amazing book, and the sequel will be just as juicy. This is for pleasure, and we are not entitled to demand her publishing anything. Although, I am dying to read about the for certain embrace of Aruendiel & Nora when they meet again, and what unfolds in their lives together.

Heidi wrote: "I loved the first book and I'll be delighted whenever the second is available. Creating things takes time, and authors don't owe us their work."Exactly my feelings! Plus, it gives me another excuse to reread the first book when the second one comes out :)
Katie wrote: "Any updates?!?!?!? Feeling so impatient to read what happens next!"I read that she's just looking for a publisher at this point, though maybe she will release an ebook? Her twitter is super active so I always check there!
I want to know if the publisher has been found.I like a paper book not ebook.
It is already October 22 so what is going on here?
The first book was excellent so why would there be a problem with finding another publisher?
Im so looking forward to the sequel. I have read a womans guide to real magic about five times now. I love it
https://www.emilycroybarker.com/blog/... Posted on Twitter on November 20th"I know this has been a long wait. It’s almost over!
Last week I clicked through the copyeditor’s changes again, I double-checked to make sure those last sentence tweaks looked okay, and then I sent the final, complete draft of How to Talk to a Goddess and Other Lessons in Real Magic off to the folks at Recorded Books.
I’ve been walking on air ever since. I can’t tell you how good it feels to know that this novel is on its way to you, ready to start its real life.
And it’s so exciting to be working again with Recorded Books, which did such a fantastic job with the audiobook edition of The Thinking Woman’s Guide to Real Magic. I can’t wait to listen to How to Talk to a Goddess! Production is getting underway now—this week I spent some time on the phone with a Recorded Books researcher, going over the pronunciation of various names and Ors words (Aruendiel! Sisoaneer! Hirizjahkinis!). I also had a chance to preview the cover design (which is gorgeous!). Our plan is to bring How to Talk to a Goddess to you in winter/spring 2021.
And finally, I am really, really happy to (finally!) be able to share this news with you. Thanks so much to all of you who have been checking in to ask about the progress of the novel. You’ve encouraged and inspired me and helped this book get out into the world, and I couldn’t be more grateful for it."
It is coming soon. I cannot wait!!!
Hooray!!!! (except it is not going to be a physical book?? I am not a fan of audio books, alas)... Fingers crossed for both.

I am not a big fan of ebooks and audio books.
I prefer a book I can hold in my hands.
It all contributes to my reading experience.

Totally agree, Lynne!
In a recent email she sent out, she said the book edition publication should be out sometime this Summer. So all is well, for us analog types. :)

I won the contest for the audiobook for How to Talk to a Goddess and Other Lessons in Real Magic . I listened to it. Audio books are good for people who learn best by listening. But I comprehend and learn more by having a book in my hand. I did enjoy the book but I know I will love it more by holding a book.
Yes I know how it ends but I will not tell here.
I can't wait for the real book- the holding in my hands- to come out.

Yes I think so. I think Emily Croy Barker said that. I believe there are so major loose ends to be tied up.
I hope she is writing it as we speak.
I hope it does not take another 6 years to finish it though.
